Temple Baptist Church is an independent, Baptist Church. A church is not a building, or an ecclesiastical hierarchy, but a local called-out body of believers in Jesus Christ, assembled together. We assemble for praise, worship, teaching, inspiration, winning of the lost, and spiritual growth. Pastor Bill Smith, along with the deacons and staff, invite you to attend the next scheduled service.

What do we believe?
The Bible: We believe it to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the only complete and final revelation of God to man in this age, and is the standard and guide of conduct and action for the believer and the church.

The Blood of Christ saves from sin: Without the shedding of blood is no remission (of sin). Hebrews 9.22 Even so the Son of man came...to give his life a ransom for many. Matthew 20.28. It is by grace and not by works.

The Return of Christ: This SAME Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in LIKE MANNER as ye have seen Him go into heaven. Acts 1.11
For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4.16-17

The New Birth: Except a man be BORN AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3.3
As many as received Him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, ...which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of GOD.John 1.12, 13

Eternal Life For The Believer: And I GIVE unto them eternal life and they shall never perish... John 10.28
He that believeth on the Son HATH everlasting life. John 3.36

You can know for sure that you are saved.
This is the reason Jesus came to earth. He alone lived a sinless life. He died for your sins on the Cross. He arose from the grave.

A. Acknowledge that you are a sinner.
There is none righteous, no not one...
There is none that seeketh after God. Romans 3.10,11
ALL we like sheep have gone astray. Isaiah 55.6

B. Believe that Jesus died for you and trust him to save you.
But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died FOR US.Romans 5.8
BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16.31
He that BELIEVETH on Him is not condemned. John 3.18
He that BELIEVETH on the Son HATH everlasting life. John 3.36

C. Call upon the Lord in prayer. You must first believe (trust in Christ), calling upon Him for salvation.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10.13

Pray, "Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner, I'm sorry for my sins. Please save my soul and take me to heaven when I die. I'm now trusting you, and your death, burial and resurrection as my salvation. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen."
